Carriage Ride Descriptions & Operating Guidelines
Step into our cozy Vis-A-Vis carriage for a romantic horse drawn ride with a partial convertible canopy top, pulled by a draft horse or team of horses at a calm unhurried pace.
Perfect for weddings, scenic routes, town rides, and special occasions.
Whether it’s a wedding, proposal, family reunion, or a festive Christmas lights tour through your city or neighborhood, our horse drawn carriage offers a memorable way to celebrate. We serve a wide range of events including homecoming, prom, birthday parties, block parties, parades, city festivals, and more.
Our horse drawn carriages are designed to provide a safe, enjoyable, and comfortable experience for guests while prioritizing the well being of our horses and team.
Each carriage has a maximum passenger capacity based on its design and weight limits. For safety reasons, we will not exceed the listed capacity of any carriage. Actual seating may vary depending on adult size, overall weight distribution, and guest comfort. Children two years old and under may sit on a lap. All other guests must have their own seat. No additional lap seating is permitted.
For the safety of guests, horses, and equipment, we do not operate under the following conditions:
• Ice covered surfaces
• Weather related emergency conditions
• High winds of 35 mph or higher
• Steep hills or unsafe terrain
Snow covered ground may be acceptable depending on conditions and footing, and is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Carriage rides are typically limited to a maximum of three consecutive hours per horse/team. On occasion, longer operating hours may be possible when rides are not run back-to-back and horses are given adequate rest. For longer events, horses or teams may need to be rotated to ensure proper rest and animal welfare.
For horse and guest safety, our horses pull carriages at a walk only, which typically ranges from 1 to 3 miles per hour. We do not run or trot our horses during carriage rides.
When planning a route, we encourage clients to walk the route in advance to better understand timing, loading and unloading needs, and guest flow between ride groups. Walking the route also helps ensure realistic expectations for ride duration and spacing.
Please keep in mind that carriage horses are live animals and valued members of our family, not machines. If a route or hill cannot be comfortably walked by a person, it may be too steep for horses to safely pull repeated carriage loads. Our team is always happy to review routes or discuss alternatives to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Extreme cold can impact horse comfort and safety. Temperatures below 20°F may limit or prevent operation, and events in colder conditions must be discussed and approved in advance.
Our team reserves the right to delay, modify, or cancel carriage operations if conditions are deemed unsafe at any time.
This 4 passenger carriage is $300 per hour with a 2 hour minimum.
